7 Aum Arivu Movie Review !!

After weeks of flashy trailers and posters, expectations have already reached sky high for this sci-fi flick, thanks to the innovative promotional activities by director Murugadoss and Suriya. The film, produced by Udhayanidhi's Red Giant Movies, is made with a whopping Rs 84 crores, the highest budget film in Suriya's career till date. 7 aum Arivu, which has cleared the Censors with a clean U certificate, is releasing with more that 1000 prints across the globe. In Tamil Nadu alone, the film will grace in more than 400 screens. Suriya and Murugadoss have always maintained that 7 Aum Arivu will be a world class Tamil film and it will stand apart; so have they fulfilled our expectations? Read on...
Suriya's Bodhidharma look and history behind this Tamil prince who is being workshiped in many Shaolin temples is already a talk of the town. Moreover 7 Aum Arivu will also mark the Tamil debut of Shruti Haasan, daughter of veteran Kamal Haasan. Apart from all these, the film also brings back the super hit trio, Suriya-Murugadoss-Harris, after the blockbuster Ghajini. Considering all these facts, its no wonder that the film has received tremendous pre booking response; infact almost all the theatres are fully booked for the next five days.

Velayutham Super Hit Movie ?

All my previous films have been remakes and I will continue remaking in future, but ‘Velayudham’ is so special as I have just got the plot of ‘Azad’ as an inspiration while the screenplay and treatment will be fresh and new’ said Jeyam Raja, who was present along with his wife and cute daughter at Hotel Green Park addressing media channels about his ‘Velayudham’.
‘We have done our best and producer Aascar Ravichandran has been so pleasing as he was ready to spend more money into the project. I am awestruck with ‘7am Arivu’ that has more budget than ‘Velayudham’ and ‘Ra.One’ three times bigger than these Tamil films. But I am very confident with Velayudham as it will surely cater to the tastes of universal family audiences.

Top 10 Things to See in China

1. The Forbidden City, Beijing

The Forbidden City, or Palace Museum, sits at the center of Beijing, directly north of Tiananmen Square. It was the imperial seat for the 24 Ming and Qing dynasty emperors from 1420 until 1912 when the last emperor, Pu Yi, abdicated. As the world's largest surviving palace complex, the Forbidden City is the ideal place to explore the imperial history and culture of China!
Built from 1406 to 1420, the complex consists of 980 surviving buildings with 8,707 bays of rooms and covers 720,000 square metres (7,800,000 square feet). The Forbidden City was declared a World Heritage Site in 1987, and is listed by UNESCO as the largest collection of preserved ancient wooden structures in the world.

2. The Great Wall, North China

The Great Wall winds its way across North China streching over 4,000 miles (6,700km). Construction of the Great Wall began over 2,000 years ago, while the latest construction occurred after 1368 during the Ming Dynasty when the Great Wall became the world's largest military structure. In fact, the Great Wall is actually made up of a number of interconnecting walls spanning China that different dynasties and warlords constructed over the years to prevent the penetration of conquerors from the North.
Beijing without a doubt is the best place to experience the Great Wall. In Beijing you can visit many different sections of the wall which is one of the largest allures for visiting Beijing. Top 10 Inventions of the 20th Century

There can be no doubt that the twentieth century is one of the most remarkable in human history for its previously unparalleled rate of technological advances and scientific discoveries, a rate that continues to this day. In fact, there were so many new gadgets invented and discoveries made in the last century that it’s difficult to pare the list down to just the ten (which is why there will be a number of glaring omissions from my list). However, I think I have managed to whittle it down to those ten innovations or technologies that have had the greatest influence on humanity—both positively and the negatively. And so, without further ado and in no particular order, here are my nominees for the ten greatest inventions/discoveries of the twentieth century:

10. Nuclear Power

nuclear-power
Nuclear power was to the twentieth century what steam power had been to the nineteenth: a game changer. Suddenly humanity had a power source that didn’t pollute, was efficient and practically unlimited, and so had the potential to change the planet overnight. Unfortunately, it was a two-edged sword in that this same energy source could be used to create the most destructive weapons in history, threatening human survival with its very presence. Additionally, while nuclear power plants didn’t spew pollutants into the air, in the hands of the truly incompetent they had the capacity to render whole regions radioactive and, as such, uninhabitable for generations (as was demonstrated at Chernobyl in 1986).
However, it is hard to deny the overall positive impact nuclear power has had. The fear of mutually assured destruction probably prevented the world from experiencing a third world war and, when operated safely, nuclear power plants truly are a superb and cost-efficient energy source that has the capacity to power entire cities. The only question is whether we’re mature enough to handle that power into the next century.

9. The Personal Computer

apple-computer-1976
It’s difficult to imagine our world today without computers. Of course, they have been around since World War Two, but they were clunky, massively expensive things that had all the calculating power of a brick. When Steve Wozniak and Stephen Jobs introduced the Apple in 1976, however, it changed everything and the rest is, as they say, history. Today, of course, they are everywhere and we have become so dependent upon them that many people almost feel naked without one. For some, they even provide the very means of maintaining a livelihood: we use them to keep track of our finances, write books, design logos and sell real estate. Plus, they are rapidly replacing the stereo and television in their ability to entertain us with music, movies, and games. Makes it hard to understand how our ancestors did so well without them, doesn’t it?

10 Animals You Wouldn’t Believe People Eat

10.Elephant
Elephant 2
The most endangered type of elephant – the forest elephant is not just hunted for its ivory – it is also hunted for its meat. One animal can provide over 1,000 pounds of flesh, resulting in the poacher making a fortune from one kill. This, combined with the popularity of eating its flesh, makes it a difficult animal to protect.
9
Gorilla

Gorillas are endangered, but the native populations of the various African nations in which they are eaten, don’t care. The eating of gorillas (and chimpanzees) is a very old tradition in Africa – a tradition that continues to this day.

The Top Ten Things To Do Before The World Ends

10. Tell Someone Off

Definitely tell somebody off if you’ve never done it before. You don’t have to if you’ve done it before, but it would still be fun. Maybe a friend or an acquaintance — maybe even a family member — has been getting on your nerves lately. Instead of trying to be the better person, be the worse person. Be the person who calls someone up on the phone out of the blue and curses them out. Tell your boss(es) what you really think of them. If you’ve already done this you know all about the euphoric rush, the wave that washes over you when you finally say what you’ve been wanting to say for days/months/weeks/years. It’s right behind drugs and sex on the list of things in life that make you feel the best.
09. Enjoy Your Final Meal

No doubt it’s going to be hard to score a good reservation right now because everybody else in the world is realizing we might all die tomorrow. But if you can squeeze yourself in — even at an off-hour — you should treat yourself to a memorable final meal. Ursawa is probably off the table, but maybe you can get a table at Yamashiro tonight. Minetta Tavern’s black label burger could be an impossible score, but you can always hit up the Shake Shack in Madison Square Park. Me? I’m going to go grab an egg and cheese sandwich on a sesame bagel. To be washed down with an ice-cold Coca Cola. See you on the other side, suckers!
08. Quit Your Job
This will provide you with the satisfaction of knowing you died a free man (or woman). You were beholden to nobody. You could provide for yourself (theoretically, if the world didn’t end). And…worst case scenario…you can always walk back into your boss’ office on Monday morning with your tail between your legs. Or pretend it was all a joke. Like George Costanza on that episode of Seinfeld.

Life is the stories of all its heroes. The tiny ones, the unexpected ones, the scary ones and the big and ugly ones. And the most colorful one.
Life is made of many stories. There’s the one that makes you giggle and the one that makes you well up.
There’s also the red one, the blue one, the wow one, the people one and the animal one.

10. Monarch Butterfly
monarch-butterfly
Everyone loves butterflies, especially these pretty ones. But their beautiful colors actually serve as a warning to predators not to eat them because they’re poisonous.

9. Sailfish

Sailfish colorful animals
The Sailfish’s blue stripes certainly make a statement but it has nothing to do with fashion. They light up when the Sailfish hunts, confusing their prey and letting their fellow hunters know what they’re doing. Now that’s a useful use of color!

8. Lesser Flamingo

Pink Flamingos
Did you know the famous pink Flamingo’s lovely color comes from pigment in the algae it eats? They do say you are what you eat…

10 Two-Headed Animals - Amazing Videoes

Well, the saying goes, two heads are better than one and these 10 two-headed animals put that saying to the test, literally. Be warned before watching, some of the videos may be disturbing.
Bicephalic or tricephalic animals are the only type of multi-headed creatures seen in the real world and are formed by the same process as conjoined twins: they result from the secondary union of two originally separate monozygotic embryonic disks. While the most common animals with two heads are two-headed snakes and tortoises many other species have had two heads as well. Take a double look at these two-headed animals.

Top 10 Issues Facing Our Youth Today

Now that we are well into the new Millennium society has begun to recognize serious concerns with issues that kids have to deal with today. Some issues have always been there but are now coming to the eyes of the public to find solutions. Other issues are new trends as society begins to adapt to a faster pace of life. Below are the top 10 issues facing our youth today.

10. Single Parent Households

single parent households
The problems begin at home. Since the 1950s, the number of single parent homes has consistently increased to the point of catastrophe. Today, 14 million single parents are responsible for 28 million children. Raising a child is difficult enough in a two parent home, especially in tough economic conditions. The situation is even direr when there is only one parent. Economically, a single parent is likely to bring less income home. This equates to fewer opportunities for such vital necessities as education. Trying to make ends meet also takes time – time that is spent away from children who need a parent’s guiding/influence. Absent a parent’s diligent guidance, children become subject to higher dropout rates, higher risk of dangerous sexual behaviors and pregnancies, higher chances of drug and alcohol abuse –etc. It truly takes a village to raise a child.

9. Drug/Alcohol Abuse

drug and alcohol abuse
There was a time in cinematic history where virtually every actor/actress was portrayed on screen with a cigarette in hand. Smoking, it was implied, was cool. As a result everyone was doing it, including kids. Well, as awareness to the danger of smoking increased, “cool” images of smoking disappeared. Unfortunately, the same can’t be said about drugs and alcohol. These vices are staples in everyday media. Simply, drinking and using drugs is shown as being cool. The numbers bear the tale. 21% of high school seniors say they get high and 41% of the same group report drinking alcohol. Our kids are literally moving around in an intoxicated daze. Immature behavior is then amplified due to being under the influence. Drunk driving, poor grades and attendance, anti-social and violent behavior and the list goes on.

10 Unbelievable Technologies that Exist Now

We have now passed the half way point of the year, and what a great year it is shaping up to be. Let’s take a step back, though, to a time when things were simpler. Friends was the coolest show on TV, Britney Spears was a new, annoying sensation and The Matrix was better than anything that had ever existed. Ever.
Technology was really starting to pick up back then, and the Internet was finally starting to seem like more than a flash in the pan. If only we could go back to those times, even if but for a moment, and see the innocence and naivety in our own eyes as we looked onto a wonderful future of incredible technological advancement.
The state of technology in 1999 was pretty impressive, we thought, and it was hard to imagine things getting much better. We were doing pretty well for ourselves and surely wouldn’t see any major technological advancements for decades to come.
Ten years later, the world is a very different place than we never could have imagined, in our wildest of dreams. There has been a surge of revolutionary technologies in the last decade that even Science Fiction couldn’t have predicted. Everything from the way we play, to the way we think, has been challenged due to these advancements. Here are just a few.

Portable Gaming Devices
Img01
Just before the turn of the millennium, portable gaming was booming. Most people that had a portable gaming device sported a Gameboy, and the really lucky ones had a Gameboy Color. There was always that one rich kid at Pizza Hut, too, with the Sega Gamegear that people couldn’t stop talking about, and Pokemon was taking the world by storm.
At night, you would fall asleep with images of the Atari Lynx swimming around in your head and hope that one day you could afford one. 10 years later, you’re glad that your parents never sprung for one of them.
Not long after that part of your life, the portable gaming world changed dramatically. With their staunch lead, Nintendo started to be more experimental and it paid off. The Gameboy Advance put quality graphics that were slightly above Super Nintendo, and sound in the palm of your hand, and further still the Nintendo DS (a few years later) managed to squeeze out post-N64 quality gaming with a touch-screen, and opened up a whole new world of gaming possibilities.
What’s more impressive is that, for once, Nintendo had some serious competition in the portable gaming racket. Sony took their powerful juggernaught, the Playstation 2, and compressed it into a comfortable, handheld console that demanded respect. Graphics and sound quality that Sony was notorious for could now be enjoyed, portably, on a beautiful 4.3″ screen.
If only you knew, back in your room 10 years ago, that things were about to change, and that one day you would forget all about the Atari Lynx… until you read about it in a Listverse article.

Hybrid Cars
Hybrid-Cars-3
Electric cars have been on the tongues and minds of consumers for decades, and the conspiracies and facts behind their obvious exclusion in the automotive world have raised a lot of questions and frustrations. Electric cars will greatly reduce man-made pollution, make the roads quieter and safer, and take the icky smell out of the air at Quick-e-marts worldwide. They’re an obvious “next step” in technological evolution.
In 1999, however, during a time when much of the world experienced a great deal of prosperity, the electric car was little more than a pipe dream. We all thought it sounded like a neat idea but were reluctant to accept it as a real possibility in the near future.
Well, we were half right.
Hybrid cars have finally clawed their way into the spotlight. Their part-gasoline-part-electric functionality has brought the whole concept of being “carbon sensitive” into the mainstream. Gasoline cars got the job done, but required too much pollution and too low of gas mileage to be acceptable anymore. Electric cars were silent and gave off virtually no pollution, but had to be recharged every 50-100 miles. The hybrid was the perfect answer.
It’s true that we still have a few years (but possibly fewer than we think) until we see every car on the street be Electric Powered, but for now the number of cars that run at least *partially* on electric power would incite quite a bit of skepticism one decade ago.
