7 Aum Arivu Movie Review !!

After weeks of flashy trailers and posters, expectations have already reached sky high for this sci-fi flick, thanks to the innovative promotional activities by director Murugadoss and Suriya. The film, produced by Udhayanidhi's Red Giant Movies, is made with a whopping Rs 84 crores, the highest budget film in Suriya's career till date. 7 aum Arivu, which has cleared the Censors with a clean U certificate, is releasing with more that 1000 prints across the globe. In Tamil Nadu alone, the film will grace in more than 400 screens. Suriya and Murugadoss have always maintained that 7 Aum Arivu will be a world class Tamil film and it will stand apart; so have they fulfilled our expectations? Read on...

Suriya's Bodhidharma look and history behind this Tamil prince who is being workshiped in many Shaolin temples is already a talk of the town. Moreover 7 Aum Arivu will also mark the Tamil debut of Shruti Haasan, daughter of veteran Kamal Haasan. Apart from all these, the film also brings back the super hit trio, Suriya-Murugadoss-Harris, after the blockbuster Ghajini. Considering all these facts, its no wonder that the film has received tremendous pre booking response; infact almost all the theatres are fully booked for the next five days.

Velayutham Super Hit Movie ?

All my previous films have been remakes and I will continue remaking in future, but ‘Velayudham’ is so special as I have just got the plot of ‘Azad’ as an inspiration while the screenplay and treatment will be fresh and new’ said Jeyam Raja, who was present along with his wife and cute daughter at Hotel Green Park addressing media channels about his ‘Velayudham’.

‘We have done our best and producer Aascar Ravichandran has been so pleasing as he was ready to spend more money into the project. I am awestruck with ‘7am Arivu’ that has more budget than ‘Velayudham’ and ‘Ra.One’ three times bigger than these Tamil films. But I am very confident with Velayudham as it will surely cater to the tastes of universal family audiences.

Post Maatraan, KV Anand to direct Vikram!

Ace director KV Anand seems to be ready with another interesting script. The filmmaker, who is busy with Surya's Maatraan, will reportedly direct Vikram after completing the forthcoming Tamil movie.

Reports say that KV Anand has impressed Vikram with his one-line story for which the Sethu actor has already given a green signal. Though, the project is in its early stage, it is said that the filmmaker will approach him again after completing the scripting works.

Vikram is currently filming Karikalan and Rajapattai. After finishing these projects, he will move on to Vijay's action film. On the other end, KV Anand is shooting his forthcoming movie Maatraan. However, the proposed project will take off in May 2012.

Venkat Prabhu's next with Surya or Karthi ?

Director Venkat Prabhu has just had a successful outing with Mankatha, actor Ajith’s latest and landmark 50th film. The film which had a huge star cast includingAjith, ‘action king’ Arjun, Vaibhav, Premgi, Trisha, Lakshmi Rai, Anjali,Andrea Jermaiah and Kainaat Arora, managed to hit the bull’s eye at the box-office despite the fact that Ajit played a full-length negative role in the film and that he had disbanded/dissolved all his fans’ clubs a few months back.

The success of the film, as far as VenkatPrabhu was concerned, was marred by the unsavoury incidents which occurred at a party organized at Vaibhav’s residence in which all the crew and lead actors of the film participated. Actress Sona accused playback singer SPB Charan of attempting to ‘rape’ her in front of the onlookers. She filed a case against him with the police and after many manouevres from the singer-turned-producer’s side, withdrew the complaint and left abroad seeking ‘peace of mind’.

It is imperative that Ra. One has to be a hit. For that, you want to do anything you can. Ra. One is Shah Rukh Khan’s dream project that is made out of a huge budget. The film’s promos have been consistently aired on TV which has led to a huge hype.

It is also releasing in a Tamil dubbed version. The Tamil audience will find it interesting to watch Rajinikanth on a one minute cameo. It was Soundarya who assured SRK that Rajinikanth will appear in a cameo for the film.

Later Rajinikanth and his family both declined that Rajinikanth will appear in a cameo because of his health issues. Soundarya Rajinikanth later convinced Rajinikanth to appear in a cameo for the film Ra. One. Since then, Shah Rukh Khan and Rajinikanth’s family have been getting along quite well.

Now Sharukh Khan is flying to Chennai next week for the release of Tamil Version Ra-One Audio & Ra-One Trailer. He is also planning to meet Superstar Rajinikanth and thank him for the special appearance in the film. Ra. One looks like securing good collections even in Tamil Nadu with its Tamil dubbed version.

Osthi Audio On October 19th ?

The music of Simbu's much-hyped Osthi(remake of Salman Khan's Bollywood blockbusterDabangg), which was scheduled to take place on October 6, has been now postponed to October 19, 2011. Sony Music has bagged the music rights of the film for a record price.Osthi is produced by Mohan Apparao and T. Ramesh under Balaji Real Media banner.

For the first time, Simbu will play the role of a cop on screen in Osthi. Richa Gangopadhyay will play the role of Rancho (made memorable by Sonakshi Sinha in Hindi). Jithan Ramesh will play the role of Simbu's brother (which was originally played by Arbaaz Khan). Revathi will appear as Simbu's mother, while Sonu Sood is reprising his original role in the Tamil version. Gopinath is the cameraman while Thaman is the music director.

Ajith in Indian 2?

Producer AM Rathinam, who had produced the smash hit film Indian, which starred Kamal Haasan and directed by Shankar, is toying with the idea of making a sequel. The producer is planning to rope in director Shankar to direct the film with Ajithin the lead.

The initial discussions are likely to place soon, sources say. Shankar and Ajith were supposed to come together for Jeans, but this did not materialize and Prashanth bagged the offer. If Ajith and Shankar join hands, it would certainly turn out to be the most expected film of the year.

Rajinikanth's Rana postponed to January 2012 ?

Rajinikanth's Rana, which was supposed to take off in mid-October, has been postponed to January 2012. The movie has been delayed, as the superstar is not fully recovered yet.

KS Ravikumar has clarified that Rana has not been shelved. He says that the multilingual movie has been pushed to January 2012. The filmmaker claims that Rajinikanth needs to be 100% fit, as the roles he is doing in the movie is physically demanding. 

Rajinikanth will be doing three roles in the historical flick. The actor has to ride horses and he has to wear costumes, which approximately weighs 25 kilos, says KS Ravikumar. Though, the superstar is willing to star, the director is not keen to take risks, he adds.

Suspense elements in ’7aum Arivu’

The Diwali fever has set in and four biggies are gearing up to see light of day on the festival of lights, one of the films being Suriya starrer ’7aum Arivu’. The film has Suriya, Shruti Haasan in lead roles with music by Harris Jayaraj whilst direction is by AR Murugadoss.

The first look that was unveiled had one of the characters played by Suriya which is that of a monk and his look as an aggressive monk in the posters was an instant hit among critics and fans. The movie starts of with Suriya in this look, and for these twenty minutes a huge sum has been shelved by the makers.

At a press conference that was held recently, Murugadoss expressed that it throws light on Bodhidharman a martial arts expert who is still worshiped in China. Huge sets have been erected to showcase the Shaolin Temple (for the construction of which he strived) and theres also a Chinese song in this part of film that goes ‘Rise Of Damo…’ with lyrics by Madhan Karky.

Ajith And Vijay's Kids Close ?

Ajith's daughter Anoushka and Vijay;s kids Sanjay and Sasha are playmates we hear. The kids regularly visit each others' homes accompanied by their mothers - Shalini and Sangeetha and have a good time playing together. The trio are close buddies and their parents love watching them together.

Ajith and Vijay have proved that two competitors can be really good friends. Looks like their children are the biggest benefactors of their closeness.
