LG Marquee Coming Soon

Android powered smartphones are flooding the market in India and LG still keeps fighting to get to the top. They have developed a cool looking smartphone and are preparing to bring it to Indian markets. This latest Android powered mobile handset will be known as the LG LS855 Marquee. Supposedly, the LG Marquee is a new successor version of the LG Optimus Black. The phone looks very awesome and is more than meets the eye when you check out the specs.

Supporting CDMA networks of 800/1900 MHz frequencies and 1x EVDO rev. A data, the LG Marquee is a multi touchscreen handset with a RAM capacity of 512 MB and 2 GB ROM.

The handset offers pretty desirable performance as it is powered by a Texas Instruments Single core OMAP 3630 processor with a clock speed of 1000 MHz. The giant candy bar model LG Marquee's dimensional measurements are 122 x 64 x 9 mm in terms of height, width and depth and weighs about 112 grams.

It has a 4 inch long capacitive TFT multitouch screen with quick responses to touch inputs. The screen size is 480 x 800 pixels in 16 M colours. Proximity sensors, accelerometer and light sensors are integrated. The battery efficiency fails to meet expectations with below average talk time of up to 5.5 hours, the average being about 8 hours. It's charged by a 1500 mAh Li ion battery. But the operating system is a big relief as the Marquee runs on Google's v2.3.4 Gingerbread Operating System. So the handset would be open to a huge collection of applications you would want, in the Android Marketplace.

The LG LS855 Marquee's 5 Megapixel camera and 2 Megapixel rear camera offer great clarity as in all LG handset cameras. The camera will have LED flash and Auto focus features and you wouldn't be disappointed in the image quality. Video recording is also quite satisfying. The Marquee features Youtube player as well which you can use to watch videos. The Media players in the handset are good, as the phone's loudspeaker offers great quality and audibility. The card slot in the Marquee can read microSD, microSDHC and TransFlash cards and is expandable up to 32 GB. It comes with a microUSB port and features A2DP v2.1 Bluetooth as well. The handset has a built in GPS module with geo tagging features.

Embedded WiFi protocols lets the LG Marquee make use of WiFi connectivity. One of the coolest features is that the LS855 can be charged via USB as well. Built in social networking apps are available featuring Facebook, Twitter and MySpace and apps for Picasa and YouTube uploader are also preinstalled. The LG Marquee will be launched soon and is expected to sold at a price in India of around Rs 9,000/- or further less.
