Vandhaan Vendraan Review:

Vandhaan Vendraan is about two (step) brothers who split up in their childhood due to sibling rivalry. Then, they meet up again as grownups in Mumbai without any revelation of their identities. A series of events unfold which spark brewing enmity between the brothers. Finally, a Ko cum Mankatha styled deceit ends the movie.
Something that will work against the movie in titanic proportions is definitely this twist to call everything a figment of the hero’s (or our) imagination. Sigh! There also seems to be a numerological tryst. VVVVV! Vasans’ Visual Ventures’s Vandhaan Vendraan! Vasan’s Visual Ventures’s Naan Kadavul also exists! One could also notice the allusion to “Victory” in the titles Jayamkondaan and Vandhaan Vendraan!

Mounam Pesiyadhe “Nandha” plays the second (fiddle) hero who threatens with his goggles and black shirt.Tapasee Pannu’s character is not much lovable due to her motives. She, probably, has to improvise on her acting before she runs out of opportunities. However, when all else fails, heroes who leave imprints at the box office perform their hearts out. The only delight is Jiiva – that too in patches – a well written script or characterization could help him perform better.
He swallowed struggle in uttering over-the-top, candy floss and archaic dialogues. He chewed sweetly and spat subtly like a drool or ooze. Thaman hardly goes anywhere close to making his name. Santhanam crackles a few laughs but is given used dialogues. Direction seems to be Jayamkondan Kannan’s thing of subsistence where his survival instincts take over any ambition, or lack thereof.
