No wonder, Velayudham will win over this clash because Vijay will bash 15 villains. All the 15 villains will have different back stories to them. Three of those villains hail from the Bollywood film industry. In contrast, Nanban is not about that.
It is about three college students and there could be hardly any fight scenes but the adaptation of Chetan Bhagat’s novel Five Point Someone will engage and entertain in adequate doses. This explains why 3 idiots starring Starring Aamir Khan, Madhavan and Sharman Joshi had become a huge hit.
Vijay essays Aamir Khan while Jiiva and Srikanth will essay the other two roles. Ileana will fit the shoes of Kareena Kapoor. Velayudham, on the other hand, will have Genelia and Hansika Motwani in the lead roles.
The latest buzz on the two films is that Velayudham is confirmed as a Diwali release. Many thought that both Velayudham and Nanban will release on Diwali on the same day. But that is not to be, as Velayudham has won the race and will be released for Diwali while Nanban is pushed to Pongal.
Since Nanban is a bilingual, a few of Vijay’s films will get dubbed and released in Telugu before Nanban is released. This way, Vijay’s market can be enhanced in Andhra Pradesh and with Ileana, Nanban will find takers.
